A request by three of the largest Australian banks to collectively negotiate for Apple Pay and open the service for their own apps has been denied by an Australian antitrust regulator for the interim. The three banks include Commonwealth Bank, National Australia Bank, and Westpac.

While Chinese ODMs and suppliers have been fighting with each other to offer lower quotes to Apple, Taiwanese suppliers have refused to do the same for the iPhone 7. As Digitimes reports, Apple has asked its Taiwanese supply chain partners to reduce quotes for the iPhone 7 by as much as 20%.
